The work setting for this position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while still enabling you to connect with clients through virtual sessions. • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of clients to understand their mental health concerns and strengths.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Facilitate individual, couple, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Provide ongoing support and crisis intervention as required, adapting interventions as clients progress throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Continuously engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health counseling.
• Participate actively in clinic staff meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to enhance collaborative care models.

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families of varying backgrounds. You will serve individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health concerns. Your ability to engage empathetically and tailor your approach to meet the unique circumstances of each client will be paramount to their healing and development.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• A valid and current license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut.
• Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services within an outpatient clinic setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with clients and collaborating with other professionals.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing a caseload.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practices.

• Previous experience working remotely in a telehealth capacity is a plus.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral networks for client support.
