Job description

Acadia is a modern media and growth agency built for today's marketing landscape. We plan and activate addressable, data-driven media that connect brands with audiences across every touchpoint - from awareness to conversion.

Enough about us, let's get to the YOU:

We're looking for a Media Planning Analyst who's detail-oriented, curious, and energized by the intersection of data, media, and marketing performance. This role is critical to ensuring our media plans are accurate, accountable, and optimized for measurable outcomes.

As a Media Planning Analyst, you'll support campaign setup, pacing, reporting, and financial tracking - keeping the data clean so the strategy can shine. You'll work closely with Media Planners, Leads, and the Ad Ops Manager to ensure campaigns run smoothly, insights surface quickly, and our reporting tells a clear story of performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Support the development and activation of omnichannel media campaigns across streaming video/audio, display/native, programmatic, search, social, and more.
  • Maintain media flowcharts, campaign setup documentation, and insertion orders (IOs).
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners on creative trafficking, UTM and landing page setup, and billing documentation (W-9s, vendor forms, etc.).
  • Ensure campaign details and deliverables are accurate, complete, and organized across systems.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Pull and compile weekly and monthly performance data from vendor dashboards and platform reports.
  • Track media spend and pacing across campaigns, updating internal and client trackers on a regular cadence.
  • Maintain the integrity of funnel reporting - ensuring data alignment across platforms, UTMs, and creative versions.
  • Identify anomalies or performance shifts early and collaborate with planners to understand the "why."
  • Assist in building recurring and ad-hoc performance decks that translate data into clear narratives.

Collaboration & Workflow Support

  • Partner with the Ad Operations Manager to ensure consistent creative trafficking, tag QA, and UTM tracking.
  • Work closely with Media Planners and Leads to maintain accurate and timely data that supports proactive optimization.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, templates, and best practices that improve process efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and campaign reviews to build a holistic understanding of modern media planning.

Tools & Systems

  • Gain hands-on experience with key media tools including Google Campaign Manager, Prisma, Nielsen, MediaRadar, DSP dashboards, and analytics platforms.
  • Manage organized and version-controlled reporting files in Google Sheets, Excel, and Asana.
  • Support implementation of Acadia's evolving ad ops processes to ensure precision and accountability across campaigns.
  • 0-2 years of experience in media planning, marketing analytics, or advertising operations (agency or internship experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • Basic understanding of digital media concepts (impressions, CPM, CTR, conversions, pacing).
  • Effective communicator who can flag anomalies and follow through with clarity.
  • Curious about media strategy and eager to learn the "why" behind performance data.
  • Organized, accountable, and proactive - comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
APTITUDES - WHAT YOU'RE GREAT AT
  • You love working with data - organizing, cleaning, and finding patterns others might miss.
  • You get satisfaction from accuracy and efficiency - making sure numbers line up and files are spotless.
  • You enjoy problem-solving: when something looks off in a report, you dig in until you understand why.
  • You're naturally curious and ask smart questions that help connect the dots between media performance and business results.
  • You're tech-comfortable and eager to learn new tools, platforms, and processes.
  • You communicate clearly and proactively - you're the person who flags an issue early, not after the deadline.
  • You take pride in supporting a team, knowing your attention to detail helps everyone move faster and smarter.
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
  • Exposure to full-funnel media planning across multiple channels and industries.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced planning, analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Mentorship from senior media strategists and planners.
  • A growth-oriented environment where attention to detail, accountability, and initiative are noticed and rewarded.
