Sr. Estimator - Central Texas (Heavy Civil)
Overview
Senior Estimator to join our rapidly growing Company, consisting of highly skilled and experienced Construction Estimators. This is a full-time position based at our Corporate Headquarters in Houston, Texas. The candidate should have extensive knowledge in heavy civil construction, specifically within the San Antonio or Austin Market. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the industry with a high level of enthusiasm to help increase the capacity of the Company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, Construction Management
A minimum of 10-15 years' experience as a Sr. Estimator
Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
Experience in the following:
Large Diameter Water Line and Sanitary Sewer
Tunnel and Shaft Construction
Self-Perform Underground Utilities, Paving, Hardscape, Traffic Control scope
Estimating Software such as B2W Bid2Win
Computerized take-off tools such as Bluebeam
P6 Scheduling Software and Critical Path Method scheduling for large and complex projects
COH and TXDOT (DBE) Requirements
Construction Costs and Engineering Principles
Work Location:
This position is required to be in-person at our Houston headquarters. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
Responsibilities:
Review Project Plans, Requirements, and Specifications
Review and Understand All Bid Documents and be able to Assess Project Risks
Determine Labor and Equipment Costs and Production Rates
Well Organized, Detail Oriented and Multi-Tasker
Present Estimate and Participate in Bid Reviews with Senior Management to ensure Accuracy and Completeness of Estimates
Compare and Analyze Competitive Subcontractor and Supplier Bids
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary - $130 to $165k - based on experience
