Senior Landman

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landman to support drilling operations, commercial negotiations, and land management activities in East Texas. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to secure drill-ready acreage, negotiate key agreements, and drive successful field development initiatives.


🗝️Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage land-related activities supporting active drilling and development program
  • Review title information, abstracts, and title opinions to ensure drill site clearance
  • Negotiate and prepare agreements including JOAs, farmouts, trades, assignments, pooling declarations, and other operational contracts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Evaluate land, acquisition, and development opportunities within assigned areas
  • Mentor junior land professionals and support team development
  • Collaborate with technical, operational, and commercial teams to achieve business objectives


💫What You Need:

  • 10+ years of in-house land experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Energy or Business
  • Strong experience with title review, contract negotiation, and drill site clearance
  • East Texas experience and knowledge of cross-unit development highly preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with Enverus and/or ArcGIS – Highly preferred
