Job description

Position Title: Land Acquisition Manager
The Land Acquisition Manager plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the company by identifying and securing land opportunities. This position requires a proactive individual who can navigate the complexities of land acquisition, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships within the industry. The manager will be tasked with overseeing projects that typically range from 8 to 10 acres, ensuring successful execution from initial acquisition to development planning. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a sales-oriented mindset.
Land Acquisition Manager Responsibilities:
  • Identify and secure land acquisition opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts and manage deal processes
  • Conduct initial underwriting and feasibility assessments
  • Participate in pre-construction processes as needed
  • Collaborate with attorneys on entitlements and zoning
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee project timelines
  • Develop and maintain connections with industry professionals

Land Acquisition Manager Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in land acquisition
  • Experience at a land brokerage company prior to transitioning to development
  • Background in multi-family, Build to Rent, or single-family development
