Job description

Job Title: Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Company: AirSea Packing Group, Inc.
Job Summary:
We're seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist based in the Sante Fe Springs. As a Sr. Human Resources Generalist, you will provide support for our Sante Fe Springs location along with other offices, ensuring that policies & procedures are understood as well as applied fairly and consistently. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in a customer service/logistics environment is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with 5+ years of progressive human resources generalist experience in a logistics environment with an emphasis on recruitment and employee relations.
  • PHR/SPHR certification is highly preferred.

Description:
The successful candidate will combine outstanding relationship skills and analytic abilities with a passion for enabling our people to exceed their potential. We also looking for self-starters who are willing to roll-up their sleeves and get the job done. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist will rely on core skills such as coaching, influencing, facilitation, communication, process development and critical thinking. We look for high-energy, thoughtful professionals who can develop new ideas and implement effectively. This role is intended for HR professionals that are looking to further their HR competency and partner with management to create a strategic synergic that supports company objectives and goals.
Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Recruitment; On-boarding; Worker's Compensation; Supporting leadership development programs with an emphasis of topics to include: Learning Agility, Coaching and Discipline, Competency Assessment.
  • Maintain knowledge of current human resource and benefit trends, laws, governmental compliance and company policies.
  • Conduct investigations related to specific issues initiated from employees; Track key information/reports pertaining to: succession planning, turnover trends, market compensation data; employee relation issues and other key HR related task.

Other Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate annual merit and employee evaluation process. Some travel is required.
  • Support the Human Resources Director as needed.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a logistics operations environment preferred.

Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree and/or professional certification in this field or similar is required.
