Organization & People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary eCommerce technology organization including engineering managers, developers, QA leads, and program managers
  • Set organizational goals, performance standards, and career development frameworks; foster a culture of accountability, psychological safety, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR to scale the team in line with business growth

Program & Portfolio Management

  • Own the eCommerce technology portfolio, ensuring the right initiatives are prioritized, resourced, and delivered on time and within budget
  • Establish and mature program management practices including capacity planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and executive status reporting
  • Set and manage end-to-end delivery milestones across internal and external teams; ensure alignment between product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders

Platform Operations & Engineering Excellence

  • Accountable for the availability, performance, and reliability of flooranddecor.com and supporting eCommerce systems
  • Oversee release and change management practices to ensure safe, efficient deployments with minimal customer impact
  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security standards

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Own eCommerce technology P&L including annual operating and capital budgets, forecasting, and reconciliation
  • Lead strategic vendor relationships including contract negotiations, SLA management, and performance accountability for key technology partners
  • Evaluate and rationalize the vendor portfolio to optimize cost, capability, and strategic fit

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted technology partner to the VP/SVP of Digital, CMO, and other executive stakeholders; proactively communicate roadmap progress, risks, and investment needs
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional leaders in IT, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and Finance
  • Represent eCommerce Technology in enterprise architecture, security, and IT governance forums

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technology program management or engineering leadership experience, including large-scale eCommerce platforms
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with software development, preferably in eCommerce or digital commerce
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including managing managers and senior individual contributors
  • 4+ years leading Agile/SAFe development organizations at program or portfolio scale
  • 3+ years of release and change management experience for high-traffic production systems
  • Demonstrated experience owning technology P&L, capital budgets, and vendor contracts at a multi-million dollar scale

Preferred

  • Proven ability to define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy
  • Experience driving organizational transformation, including platform modernization and team scaling
  • Executive-level stakeholder management including C-suite, Board-level reporting, and cross-functional business partners
  • Deep familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Websphere, Magento) and composable architecture principles
  • Strong financial acumen including business case development, ROI modeling, and budget forecasting
