Job Overview
The Senior Director, Sales Operations will lead a multifunctional team to successfully deliver financial targets through achieving our topline revenue and Gross Profit objectives, combined with the efficient oversight, planning, and managing of our labor and expenses. This role must achieve these targets while at the same time building a strong organization to provide bench strength across the retail sales and distribution organization. Succession planning is going to be critical to building a culture that is rooted in our Purpose Statement, Our Destination Statement, And Diversity Objectives that will enable us to continue to deliver strong results. The Sr. Director, Sales Operations works directly with the Region VP to deliver business results, key customers to enhance selling and execution, cross-functional partners to drive efficiency and solve problems and with our people to inspire and motivate.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interprets business data and results, develops execution strategy and provides direction to the Sales Operations Organization to achieve business plan targets and metrics
  • Oversees the achievement of executional and operational targets and metrics by leading consistent and effective management routines
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to achieve the company's business objectives and targets
  • Drives efficiencies and excellence throughout the operations that maximize safety and positively impact operating expense, optimize our operations, and service our customers
  • Directs, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement methods and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership opportunities
  • Inspects execution and results in the marketplace and effectively coaches and teaches our teams to develop and improve
  • Communicates and drives adherence against policy and procedure related to people and Purpose

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Industry experience is preferred, commensurate accountability and duties in other industries (likely to be CPG or Retail)
  • A college degree (associate's or bachelors) is preferred though not mandatory
  • 5-7 Years of working in and leading a sales organization and/or a DSD delivery organization
  • Outstanding business acumen which includes PL management, Revenue, and Gross Profit management
  • Versed in complex commercial selling strategies
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong leadership presence in front of large groups of people
  • Build strong followership to achieve common objectives
  • Experience working closely with large customers to achieve results is preferred (customer management)
  • Must have strong collaborative skills and be able to work well cross-functionally
  • Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems with decisiveness
  • High sense of accountability and ownership
  • Must have a high sense of initiative and a "can-do" attitude

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications
  • A college education is preferred for this role, though not required
  • A degree preference is not specific as it is the body of learning and related discipline that is preferred to make a more well-rounded Sr. Director, Sales Ops.
