PCG is seeking a Senior Talent Specialist to join our Strategic Development team in Lenexa, KS at our corporate headquarters. This role is primarily focused on curriculum development, instructional design, and learning program support for PCG employees across the organization.ย 

As part of the Strategic Development team, this role helps shape and drive a learning culture at PCG by researching, developing, and producing effective educational programs, resources, and learning experiences. The Senior Talent Specialist will partner with subject matter experts, event owners, business leaders, and internal stakeholders toย identifyย learning needs, develop curriculum strategies, and create instructor-led, virtual, digital, and blended learning solutions that support business goals and employee growth.ย 

This roleย is responsible forย developing learning resources that are clear, engaging, practical, and aligned to learningย objectives. This includes formal training workshops, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, courseware, assessments, reinforcements, and other learning assets. The ideal candidate is a strong instructional designer and curriculum developer who can organize complex information, manage projects from start to finish, and create impactful learning experiences that support performance and business results.ย

Responsibilities & Functionsย 

This position will contribute to the overall success of our learning and development initiatives in both strategic and supportive ways. The role requires collaboration with all levels โ€” from individual contributors to top leadership โ€” to ensure learning solutions are aligned, effective, and designed to support employee performance. As part of our team, you will work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:ย 
Curriculum Development & Learning Designย 

  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, business partners, and stakeholders toย identifyย training needs, performance gaps, and learning solutions.ย 

  • Assess business situations and develop goals, learningย objectives, and curriculum strategies to support improved business results and employee performance.ย 

  • Design and develop effective learning programs using instructional design and adult learning principles.ย 

  • Develop learning solutions for a variety of modalities, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, eLearning, blended learning, job aids, leader guides, session materials, reinforcements, and assessments.ย 

  • Create engaging content that clearly communicates concepts, processes, expectations, and skills in an impactful and memorable way.ย 

  • Logically organize and transform complex information into professionally designed, functional, and effective learning programs.ย 

  • Develop andย maintainย curriculum materials that align with educational goals, learningย objectives, and organizational needs.ย 

  • Proofread, edit, and refine educational materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and coherence.ย 

  • Evaluate existing educational offerings and recommend improvements to strengthen learner experience, business alignment, and effectiveness.ย 

Program Support & Effectivenessย 

  • Partner with event owners and stakeholders to develop instructor-led, virtual, and other learning opportunities in the most effective modality for the audience and learningย need.ย 

  • Support the full learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery support, evaluation, and continuous improvement.ย 

  • Evaluate program effectiveness, engagement, and alignment through a variety of assessment methods, measurements, observations, and feedback channels.ย 

  • Educate and support staff, facilitators, or stakeholders on new curriculum developments, learning resources, and best practices.ย 

  • Ensure learning materials are designed to support consistency, scalability, and practical application across the organization.ย 

  • Recommend improvements to curriculum structure, learning flow, participant engagement, and post-training reinforcement.ย 

Collaboration, Communication & Project Managementย 

  • Oversee content development processes fromย inceptionย to completion,ย demonstratingย strong project management, organization, and follow-through.ย 

  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and SMEs to ensure curriculum alignment andย timelyย delivery.ย 

  • Collaborate with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues to ensure learning solutions meet business and learner needs.ย 

  • Manage multiple learning projects, timelines, priorities, and deliverables with minimal supervision.ย 

  • Work closely with the Strategic Development team to support a unified learning experience strategy.ย 

  • Support project management efforts using agile and iterative development approaches.ย 

  • Explore tools, technologies, and approaches that enhance learning design, delivery, engagement, and effectiveness.ย 

Learning Systems & Technology Supportย 

  • Use learning technologies and development tools to create, publish,ย maintain, and support learning content.ย 

  • Support learning content placement, updates, testing, and administration within the Learning Management System as needed.ย 

  • Apply basic LMS administration knowledge to ensure learning assets are organized, assigned, tracked, and delivered effectively.ย 

  • Maintain awareness of system delivery standards and technical requirements for digital learning, including SCORM-compliant eLearning when applicable.ย 

Basic Requirementsย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in education, instructional design, curriculum development, project management, organizational development, educational technology, orย a relatedย field.ย 

  • At leastย 5ย years of experience editing, writing, designing, and developing instructional materials.ย 

  • At leastย 5ย years of experience in courseware, curriculum, training, or technical documentation development and design.ย 

  • Experience managing course or curriculum development projects from end to end.ย 

  • Ability to manage the full learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery support, evaluation, and continuous improvement.ย 

  • Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and curriculum development practices.ย 

  • Ability to assess business needs and translate them into effective learning goals,ย objectives, strategies, and deliverables.ย 

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage projects with minimal supervision.ย 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and consult effectively with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, subject matter experts, and colleagues.ย 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize complex information into clear, concise, and engaging learning content.ย 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.ย 

  • Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.ย 

  • Exhibitsย a high levelย of emotional intelligence, including the ability to give and receive specific, constructive feedback.ย 

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications.ย 

  • Experience working with learning development technologies such as Adobe, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, or similar tools.ย 

  • Technically inclined and able to adapt toย new technologiesย with ease.ย 

  • Skilled inย designing forย a variety of formats and mediums, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, SCORM-compliant eLearning, video, web, and print-based materials.ย 

  • Willing to travel up to 10%.ย 

Preferred Requirementsย 

  • Masterโ€™s degree in a related field.ย 

  • Experience with the construction industry.ย 

  • Experience with Articulate 360 or equivalent authoring software.ย
