POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
This position offers a hybrid schedule.
Afognak Diversified Services, Inc a company of Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Curriculum Manager. The contracted Curriculum Manager will report to the Deputy Director of Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) Bureau of Training Services. This individual will work closely with supervisors and staff from both the Constables' Training Program and the Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Training Program, as well as with curriculum development and training delivery contractors.
The PCCD office is located at 3101 North Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and oversee multiple curriculum contractors in the review, development, and revision of curriculum. This role also involves organizing and maintaining curriculum materials and monitoring delivery contractors to ensure their training for the Constable and Sheriff/Deputy Sheriff training programs complies with required curriculum content.
  • Review, select, and utilize methodologies for the assessment of training needs, such as questionnaires, interviews, job standard/description review, job task analysis, and advisory group reviews.
  • Research, develop, and implement new technologies in training delivery as well as training data storage manipulation, and recovery.
  • Review, revise, and edit training materials throughout the development lifecycle to validate changes and updates, and to ensure consistency across all subjects within each program.
  • Research necessary subject matter when necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of training contractors and their personnel, through interviews, evaluations, and direct observation to ensure compliance with curriculum and to track and document feedback from students, instructors, and contractors.
  • Prepare reports and provide briefings describing the results of monitoring and evaluation activities and recommend to the BTS Deputy Director appropriate actions to ensure the quality of training.
  • Organize, distribute, and archive training materials.
  • Manage an electronic file sharing website allowing the storage, updating, and sharing of curriculum with the appropriate staff, contractors, and instructors.
  • Develop and write policies and procedures related to curriculum utilization and training delivery.
  • Chair various meetings with and between curriculum developers, deliverers, and PCCD staff to coordinate training and curriculum needs, updates, and changes.
  • Assist with other Bureau of Training Services curriculum initiatives as needed.

Pay Range: $75,000 to $80,000 Annually
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Degree can be substituted with 5 years of curriculum management experience.
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience managing and editing curriculum.
  • Experience with online curriculum development and delivery.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be computer competent in MS Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in law enforcement training, curriculum review, research, and revision.
