Job Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Curriculum Developer located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The Curriculum Developer will design, develop, and revise curriculum tailored to specific learning objectives. This includes instructional design, conducting research, creating engaging content, and collaborating with subject matter experts. The role will also ensure course materials align with organizational goals and comply with educational standards. The overall objective of this position is to assist in conducting technical research and analysis of force sustainment, training, and integration with other Service, Joint, Agency, and Coalition forces. This analysis also includes the development of recommendations in order to enhance the survivability of the conventional force (2d MarDiv).

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and/or modify programs of instruction (POI) as required in accordance with applicable Marine Corps orders.
  • Research and analyze instructional material and methods to meet course objectives, make recommendations for curriculum improvement and implementation, including developing/modifying master lesson files, associated presentations and other media, and student handouts.
  • Incorporate detailed exercise AARs describing the strengths and weakness of the current periods of instruction (POIs) and detail recommendations for improvement, to include analysis of instructional material, equipment, facilities, and teaching methods.
  • Develop Master Lesson Files, and associated media, including student handouts, study guides, visual aids, simulations (mock up and models), proficiency charts, training aids, and course/instructional outlines, for proposed new or updated POIs.
  • Participate in course curriculum review boards.
  • Analyze instructional material, equipment, facilities, and methods in order to meet course objective changes to improve the curriculum.
  • Develop a proposed regular Course Content Review Board (CCRB) schedule, for regular review of POIs, or when emergent or new material warrants
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) to Government instructional staff on instructional design, and techniques in support of curriculum development.
  • Provide quarterly periods of instruction regarding curriculum development and instruction techniques.

Qualifications:
  • Must demonstrate employees assigned to the Operations and Planning Analyst and Future Operations Analyst positions have completed education at the career (O-4) level, or higher, from any United States military service school.
  • Must demonstrate employees assigned to the Operations and Planning Analyst, Current Operations Analyst, Readiness Analyst, and Future Operations Analyst positions have at least two years of experience working on a General Officer level staff (U. S. military) specifically in either the current, or future operations section.
  • Must demonstrate employees assigned to the Curriculum Development Analyst position have received and completed training in curriculum development and instructional methods.
  • Must demonstrate employees assigned to the Information Knowledge Management Analysis position have at least two years of experience working on a General Officer level staff (U.S. Military).

Experience & Education:
  • Education at the career (O-4) level, or higher, from any United States military service school.
