This is an excellent opportunity for an early- to mid-level engineer to work on a diverse range of roadway and aviation projects while learning from experienced professionals and building a rewarding career in transportation engineering.
Grow Your Career with Blueprint
This role includes a guaranteed seat in Blueprint, our new early career leadership program for engineers looking to grow beyond the typical entry-level experience. Over six months, participants take part in a hands-on curriculum covering professional development, business acumen, and project delivery - including case studies, simulations, and role-play exercises. The program covers topics like project economics, communication, and leadership fundamentals, and concludes with an in-person capstone event where participants present their work and outline goals for the year ahead.

Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • As a Transportation Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, analyzing, and developing transportation infrastructure projects that improve how communities move and connect. You will:
  • Support senior engineers and project managers in preparing transportation design plans for state, municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential projects - all within a 3D digital environment.
  • Perform and review design calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Contribute to the development of design packages, including roadway geometry, drainage, grading, and plan preparation.
  • Assist with early project phases, including feasibility studies, permitting, and cost estimating.
  • Support aviation projects, contributing to runway and airfield design and analysis.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Successful completion of the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
  • Experience working with OpenRoads Designer
  • Familiarity with ODOT Design Standards
  • A strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and eagerness to grow your technical and project management skills
