Job description

Rapid Industries is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.
This position will report directly to the Senior Controller. In this role you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, which requires the ability to juggle several organizational tasks at once. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of general ledger, AP/AR assistance, various reconciliations, month-end reporting, job costing, etc. This role will support our accounting team.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Senior Controller to prepare/provide year-end CPA requests
  • Month end close w/ Journal entries
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist Senior Controller on progress of jobs: actual vs. estimated cost, percentage of completion, hours spent vs. hours estimated
  • Obtaining a comprehensive knowledge of 2 ERP systems including helping improve processes
  • Credit checks
  • 1099s
  • Sales and Use Tax Reporting
  • Back up for Payroll Processing
  • Benefits reconciliations
  • Perform various other accounting related tasks and special projects
  • Communicate with project managers/engineers on progress of jobs: actual vs. estimated cost, percentage of completion, hours spent vs. hours estimated.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience in Manufacturing Industry required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports.
  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical.
  • This is a full-time, in-office position. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.
