Job Description

As a Senior Construction Administrator, you will lead construction-phase coordination to deliver the project’s final design intent. Acting as the primary liaison between the contractor, owner, project team, and code authorities, you will drive timely review and resolution of RFIs and submittals, review pay applications and testing reports, and close out construction issues across concurrent projects. You will also produce internal progress reporting, provide constructability reviews, and mentor production staff—positioning you to make a visible impact and advance your career in Jacksonville.

What’s In It For You

  • Career growth and leadership impact: Step into a Senior Construction Administrator role where your judgment shapes outcomes on high-visibility projects in Jacksonville.
  • Autonomy with support: Lead CA across multiple projects while collaborating with experienced technical professionals.
  • Client-facing influence: Be the trusted voice in meetings and on site, strengthening your reputation and network.
  • Professional development: Mentor junior staff, sharpen building-science expertise, and broaden delivery-method experience (Design–Bid–Build and Design–Build).
  • Meaningful work-life balance: Plan your site time, prioritize effectively, and manage deliverables with clear ownership.
  • Future-ready credentials: Opportunities to leverage or pursue professional licensure and sustainability credentials.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide steady, solutions-focused leadership during construction; resolve field issues while upholding scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Coordinate and manage the full Construction Administration (CA) process for multiple projects with consistent standards and documentation.
  • Serve as client liaison; represent the project professionally on site and in meetings with owners, contractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Lead timely review/response for RFIs, submittals, testing reports, and contractor pay applications; drive closure on construction-related issues.
  • Produce internal project progress reports and projections to support planning and successful CA delivery.
  • Provide constructability reviews; serve as a subject-matter expert in construction processes and building science.
  • Mentor and support less-experienced architectural/production staff in CA best practices, documentation, and coordination.
  • Coordinate administrative and technical tasks to ensure efficient, cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience: 15+ years of construction administration experience preferred; proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Delivery methods: Demonstrated success with both Design–Bid–Build and Design–Build (required).
  • Market: Healthcare project experience is a plus.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Architectural registration preferred; NCARB preferred; LEED Green Associate desired.
  • Expert knowledge of construction processes, building science, codes, and field coordination.
  • Strong RFI/submittal management, documentation control, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Professional client presence; clear, concise communication in the field and in meetings.
  • Planning, organization, and multi-project management capabilities.
  • Collaborative mentor who elevates team performance and constructability outcomes.

Location and Work Style

  • Primary location: Jacksonville, FL (32207).
  • Travel to project sites and meetings as needed; driving required.
  • Ideal for candidates seeking a Senior Construction Administrator opportunity rooted in Jacksonville with regional site exposure.
