Position Summary: The Construction Administrator position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is able to efficiently manage a variety of tasks which address the needs of the Construction team.
In this position, the Construction Administrator will facilitate positive relationships with other CHN departments, outside agencies, and the community to ensure successful project coordination, and will work collaboratively with the CHN construction team to successfully manage activities on commercial, single family and or multifamily construction projects.
The rate of pay for this position is $55,000 per year (FLSA Non-Exempt) commensurate with experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in documenting bids and soliciting RFP's.
  • Assisting with monthly pay applications.
  • Assist in obtaining permits and utility accounts.
  • Submit utility requests to appropriate persons.
  • Enter tracking information as required into regulators systems.
  • Assist in transition of lease purchase units.
  • Assist with Subcontracts administration and distribution.
  • Compliance and Construction System Software upload and input.
  • Assist in draw coordination including assembling documents and distribution.
  • Tracking project documentation including subcontracts, insurance certificates, worker's compensation certificates and tracking expirations and renewals.
  • Attending construction meetings in office or on site at projects as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating the setup of projects for both multi-family and single family scattered site projects.
  • Assist with creating job boards.
  • Order project supplies for construction team.
  • Assist construction team with administration duties.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
Education:
  • Education or work experience in construction or related field.

Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience within construction or related field.

Skills:
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, Adobe and Excel.
  • Ability to take initiative and improve efficiency of work responsibilities.
  • Detail oriented person able to prioritize workload.

Other:
  • Commitment to mission of providing affordable housing and ideally exposure to LIHTC.
  • Must have valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
  • This position requires occasional travel to locations principally in Cuyahoga County but can include locations within a 3-hour drive of Greater Cleveland.
