Primary Responsibilities
  • Contribute to overall business procurement and supply chain strategy at F5

  • Develop commodity strategies and lead cross-functional execution for optimal cost, supply chain, quality and on-time deliveries;

  • Lead RFx process for supplier selection supporting new product introductions;

  • Manage Suppliers development through a tracked Maturity Assessment too and provide report outs to the Executive Team and peer level staff;

  • Manage cost updates throughout NPI development cycle and sustaining to ensure costs stay below target;

  • Analyze market trends and data, develop strategy and pipeline to meet cost reduction goals;

  • Drive supply chain risk mitigations though multi-sourcing and supplier relationship management

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

  • Manage strategic supplier relationship(s) and host quarterly business reviews for strategic supplier performance management and on-going strategic alignment;

  • Resolve issues and disputes related to commodity procurement and delivery.

  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations on commodity management activities and outcomes.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and standards.

  • Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a commodity manager or a similar role in electronics product industry with at least 5 years sourcing electrical or mechanical components and sub-assemblies. Experiences in custom mechanical, Optics, electrical components and PCB's strongly preferred.

  • Hold a Bachelors degree in supply chain management, electrical engineering or a related field

  • Experiences managing multiple Customer Mechanical fabrication categories.

  • Experiences working with global contract manufacturers a strong plus

  • Highly skilled using Excel and Power Point.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

The annual base pay for this position is: $134,400.00 - $201,600.00
