Primary Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of multi-entity accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable across corporate entities, LLCs, and partnerships
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Deliver meaningful financial analysis, including variance insights and operational performance trends to leadership
  • Oversee and optimize AP and AR workflows, including vendor management, collections strategy, and process automation
  • Act as a key partner in payroll accounting, benefits allocation, and related reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Coordinate tax-related activities, partnering with external CPA firms while supporting filings for corporate, partnership, and trust structures
  • Serve as the primary liaison for audits and strengthen internal controls across accounting processes
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, promoting growth in technical competencies, accountability, and collaboration
  • Drive continuous improvement, including ERP optimization, automation initiatives, and scalable reporting frameworks
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning alongside finance leadership
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Background as an Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar leadership track with full-cycle accounting ownership
  • Experience working within multi-entity environments, including partnership accounting, intercompany transactions, and complex ownership structures
  • Strong foundation in GAAP with the ability to translate financial data into business insights
  • CPA or Certified Public Accountant designation preferred, with opportunities to expand technical expertise
  • Exposure to ERP systems and a track record of improving processes, automation, or system integrations
  • Comfortable handling confidential financial data and partnering with executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and elevate accounting teams while fostering a collaborative culture
  • Experience in industries such as logistics, real estate, distribution, or asset-heavy environments is highly transferable
