As a server at Boston Fish Market, you will deliver an exceptional dining experience that combines refined service standards, strong product knowledge, and efficient pacing. We require team members who excel in demanding, fast-moving shifts while keeping service smooth, hospitable, and accurate.

Guest Experience & Table Management

 Provide attentive, polished, and enthusiastic service from greeting to farewell.

 Maintain complete knowledge of our menu, including daily catches, seasonal specialties, cooking methods, and flavor profiles.

 Confidently guide guests through the menu, offer tailored recommendations, and handle special dietary requests or allergies with care.

 Maintain table pacing by monitoring dining progress, pre-bussing consistently, and ensuring clean, well-set tables throughout the shift.

High-Volume & High-Energy Execution

 Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, precision, and a warm demeanor.

 Handle multi-table sections efficiently during peak service hours without compromising attention to detail.

 Partner seamlessly with bussers, runners, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure rapid ticket times and fluid floor operations.

Sales & Product Expertise

 Drive guest check averages through strategic upselling, featured beverage pairings, raw bar highlights, and dessert offerings.

 Master the intricacies of our seafood offerings, explaining preparations clearly to elevate the guest experience.

Side Work & Operational Standards

 Complete all assigned opening, ongoing, and closing sidework accurately and without prompting.

 Maintain pristine sanitation, organization, and cleanliness across all service stations and dining areas.

 Operate our POS system efficiently for order entry, modifier accuracy, and payment processing.

Qualifications & Requirements

 Experience: Minimum 2+ years of high-volume, full-service dining or fine-dining serving experience preferred. Seafood experience is a strong plus.

 Energy & Presence: Highly motivated, articulate, and able to project energy and warmth on a busy dining floor.

 Product Knowledge: Strong foundation in food, wine, spirits, and proper service etiquette.

 Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry heavy trays smoothly, and lift up to 30 lbs.

 Availability: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

 Certifications: Valid state Food Handler and Basset/Alcohol Service certifications required upon hire.
