Screed Operator

We are looking for a skilled Screed Operator to join our paving crew on heavy highway construction projects. The Screed Operator is responsible for controlling the screed on the asphalt paver to ensure proper depth, width, and grade of asphalt placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate screed controls to maintain correct asphalt depth, slope, and texture
  • Monitor and adjust screed settings to ensure a smooth and consistent mat
  • Coordinate with the paver operator and other crew members for efficient paving operations
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of screed and related equipment
  • Ensure quality control by monitoring mat temperature, compaction, and overall appearance
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain awareness of surroundings on active job sites

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a screed operator on heavy highway or large-scale paving projects
  • Strong understanding of asphalt paving procedures, materials, and equipment
