Job description

Title: SCADA Project Manager

Location: Houston, Texas

Type: Contract (1 year)

Hourly Rate: $120.00 per hour

Summary:

The SCADA Project Manager is responsible for planning and delivering enterprisescale SCADA platform initiatives across industrial operations. This role leads the endtoend deployment of Ignition SCADA and AVEVA PI platforms, coordinating crossfunctional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and ontime delivery while minimizing operational risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead endtoend execution of enterprise SCADA platform deployments across multiple assets
  • Manage delivery of Ignition SCADA and AVEVA PI platform rollouts, including historian, asset framework, and visualization components
  • Own integrated project plans, schedules, dependencies, risks, and executivelevel reporting
  • Provide delivery governance and quality oversight to ensure alignment with scope, technical standards, and approved architecture
  • Lead change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, readiness planning, and operational adoption
  • Plan and execute operational cutovers, including golive readiness, handover to operations, stabilization, and hypercare support
  • Coordinate architecture, infrastructure, OT cybersecurity, data warehousing, and report migration activities
  • Ensure compliance with OT security standards and Purdue Model architecture
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost variance in coordination with finance and vendor partners
  • Drive crossfunctional alignment across operations, controls, IT, OT, and data teams

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of project management experience delivering largescale SCADA or industrial control system programs within oil & gas or heavy industrial environments
  • Handson project management experience delivering Ignition SCADA implementations
  • Handson project management experience with AVEVA PI (historian, AF, visualization)
  • Proven experience working with system integrators under complex delivery models
  • Strong working knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles and the Purdue Model
  • Demonstrated success leading cutovers in live production environments
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cost control
  • Minimal routine travel however increased travel may be required during key project phases such as design workshops, field engagements, training, and cutover activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cygnet and/or Wonderware platforms
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or industrial data warehousing and analytics solutions
  • Experience with brownfield SCADA modernization or phased migration programs
