This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager - Power & Water ()


In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and facilitate successful onboarding of digital solutions and the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. Each day, you will provide consultative assistance in supporting the use of products with the goal to improve productivity and efficiency. You will also showcase your expertise by helping the customers to achieve their solution goals and objectives by leveraging domain expertise and knowledge on ABB's digital solutions.

This role serves as the technical lead for APC (Advanced Process Control) and APM (Asset Performance Management) driven Plant Automation projects in Energy Industries-including power generation, oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, offshore and marine sectors.
You will leverage enterpriselevel software engineering, analytics, digital twin modeling, and commissioning expertise to deliver predictive and prescriptive APM outcomes, enabling optimal lifecycle cost, maximum uptime, improved safety, and coordinated autonomous plant operations.
APM acts as the orchestration runtime while DCS platforms serve as execution endpoints for APS/DH system operation.

Process engineering lead for plant automation (APS/DH System) across low to medium engineering complexity assignments. Ensure that process design, control logic development, data analysis, tuning and commissioning activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your role and responsibilities

Performing Digital solution(APC, APM, Plant Automation, Cyber security) design, analytics, programming, and site commissioning

Testing and troubleshooting the final system setup and ensuring its successful rollout through training and retraining the customers to understand the software and its benefits and providing subsequent ongoing support and services.

Participating in the assigned stages of the end-to-end customer lifecycle including digital opportunity identification, opportunity qualification, discovery and value engineering, solution blueprinting, PoC / pilot, solution deployment, and post go-live operations/support.

Executing ideation workstreams from identifying needs to validate and define development together with cross-functional teams of digital software engineers, user experience, and subject matter experts for value creation.

Supporting customers right from the sales cycle through the go-live, post-implementation review, and subsequent follow-up stages.

Qualifications for the role

More than 7 years of experience with automation or software companies in enterprise level software design, analytics, programming and site commissioning.

Proven experience in APC (model based control) design, implementation and optimization; ability to use APM insights to adapt control parameters dynamically.

Strong knowledge and practical experience with Asset Performance software in Energy Industries (Power, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Offshore, Marine).

Hands on experience with control loop tuning (level, pressure, temperature, flow) and predictive analytics-based performance identification, mechanical systems and field equipment.

Experience with onsite engineering activities including installation, commissioning, start up and troubleshooting.

Experience with APC, APM Perform 360, Plant Design, and Cyber Security is preferred.

Fluency in Korean and strong English comprehension and writing skills is preferred.
