From the north of Scotland to the south coast of England, our engineers are delivering smart metering solutions to thousands of businesses every day. As we continue to grow, we're looking for talented Dual Fuel Engineers to join our nationwide team. 
If you're an experienced engineer looking for your next challenge and ready to develop your commercial metering skills, there's never been a better time to join Yu! 
You will start the role as a Dual Fuel Engineer and within around 8 weeks you will be trained in warrant work and progress to an Elite Dual Fuel Engineer. Starting salary 38,110 progressing to 43,260 once upskilled. 
  • Realistic earning potential of 50,000 - 55,000 
  • Targeted bonus  
  • Training and upskilling from day 1, including 3-phase, Medium Pressure and Gas U16-U40 (MET4). Skill progression opportunities for Half-Hourly, CT and Gas beyond U16 
  • We're growing rapidly which provides job security and working directly with our own customers 
  • You don't need commercial experience  
  • On call? Not here! We operate a rotating Monday-Friday shift pattern between 6am and 8pm, meaning your evenings and weekends stay yours.

Elite Engineers: 
  • Undertake friendly debt resolution visits to support customers. 
  • Alternate between attending Warrants as the on-site engineer and acting as the Warrant Officer (always supported - never solo). 
Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): 
  • Focus purely on technical metering work - no Warrant or debt visits. 

  • The right attitude! and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks. 
  • Safety first. Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of metering systems, associated equipment, and communication systems.  
  • Able to deliver friendly, professional customer interactions, ensuring every visit reflects our values.  
  • Compliance focussed. All health and safety regulations, metering standards, and company procedures.  
  • Take ownership of stock, tools, and company vehicle.  
  • Be collaborative. Working with colleagues and management to deliver team and business goals.  
  • Be open to ongoing development through technical training and mentoring opportunities.
