SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision creates quality value and confidence in the eyes of customers by safely and accurately
reading electric meters while maintaining production levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately reads and records electric meter readings within defined performance levels
Maintains production levels by accessing electric and gas meters within defined performance levels
Complies with all policies procedures and practices
Works safely to avoid accidents and injuries and support safety goals
Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day and / or drive company vehicle over a wider range of established meter reading routes
Operates and maintains electronic meter reading devices including peripheral equipment
Inspects meter connections for defects damage and unauthorized connections and records/reports irregularities
Verifies meter readings to identify and locate abnormal consumption and records reasons for fluctuations
This position requires good physicality
Must have valid NM Driver's License with no points
Will conduct criminal background employment verification education verification and drug screen.
