Job Responsibilities
Performs custodial, housekeeping duties to keep buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, elevators and stairways. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors. Vacuums rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture. Disposes of trash and waste.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Cleaning experience required. Commercial cleaning experience and WorkReady SC Career Readiness Certificate is preferred. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics.
Additional Comments
Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Must be physically able to work off of a ladder, carry mop and bucket up and down stairs. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machine, wet vacuum, shampoo machine, and carpet vacuum. Must have ability to interact regularly with students and University personnel.
