Summary
JERA Americas is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, SAP Solutions to lead the strategic and operational management of SAP solutions across the organization. This role will serve as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring seamless integration, enhancement, and support of SAP systems including S/4 HANA, SAP Concur, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Ariba.
The Manager will oversee external vendors and collaborate with global teams, including counterparts at JERA headquarters in Tokyo, to deliver high-quality SAP services. This role is critical to driving business value through SAP technologies and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Position Description
Essential Functions
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all SAP solutions within JERA Americas, including S/4 HANA, SAP Concur, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Ariba.
  • Lead and manage SAP-related initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Provide strategic oversight and operational management of external vendor teams responsible for Run & Maintain and Enhancement services.
  • Collaborate with global SAP teams, including counterparts at JERA headquarters in Tokyo, to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Oversee system configuration, upgrades, and enhancements across SAP platforms.
  • Ensure SAP solutions are continuously optimized to meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and support resources for SAP users.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, change management, and training initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with SAP vendors and participate in user group meetings.

  • Deep understanding of SAP S/4 HANA (FICO, Treasury, Procurement).
  • Solid understanding of SAP architecture, ABAP Development, and HANA DB.
  • Hands-on knowledge of BAPI, iDoc, Web Services, and SAP integration methods.
  • Expertise in SAP Solution Manager including ChaRM configuration, workflow design, and transport management.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ALM best practices.
  • Familiarity with SAP Concur, SuccessFactors, and Ariba.
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a plus.
  • Strong business analysis and project management skills.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP environments.
  • 8+ years of experience with S/4 HANA and other SAP platforms (Concur, SuccessFactors, Ariba).
  • Proven experience managing SAP projects and vendor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration and business processes.
  • Exposure to technology infrastructure as it applies to the delivery of functional solutions.
  • Experience working with diverse teams across global locations.
  • Strong background in application Release Management, Change Management, and Incident Management
  • An added benefit would be experience with software development and management

Preferred Education and Experience
  • SAP certifications in relevant modules.
  • Experience with SQL or database management.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP).
