Senior Salesforce Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions supporting critical business operations within the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Salesforce development, integrations, and Lightning technologies while collaborating closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Build and support business solutions leveraging Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Design and develop integrations with third-party systems utilizing REST, SOAP, and Web Service APIs.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile delivery activities.
  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and platform governance.
  • Provide effort estimates for development, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of Salesforce development experience with hands-on expertise in Apex and Lightning.
  • 6+ years of experience implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating Salesforce with external applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Insurance industry clients.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration versus custom development design decisions.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with onshore, offshore, and cross-functional teams.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • Salesforce Integration Architect certification.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $95,000 and $110,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program based on performance, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
