Job Description
Configuration Engineer - Salesforce Platform
Overview
Searching for a Configuration Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of a Salesforce build.
Think of it as an admin/developer hybrid who lives in declarative tools
rather than code. You're the person who can architect complex business logic entirely in
Flow, without needing to drop into Apex.
Responsibilities
Design and build advanced automation using Salesforce Flow (record-triggered,
scheduled, and screen flows)
Configure and maintain core platform elements: objects, fields, page layouts,
permissions, and validation rules
Translate business requirements into scalable declarative solutions
Support and optimize Service Cloud functionality (case management, routing,
queues)
Partner with stakeholders to identify where platform-native tools can replace
custom code
Requirements
Strong, demonstrable Salesforce Flow expertise
Solid grounding in Salesforce configuration fundamentals (objects, permissions,
layouts, automation)
No Apex/coding required, though comfort reading code is a plus
Salesforce Administrator certification preferred
Nice to Have
Certifications are a strong plus, especially Certified Platform
App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant, or Field Service Consultant
Exposure to Field Service Lightning or an equivalent field service platform (e.g.,
ServiceMax)
Qualifications
