Position Title: Manager, Sales Operations

Department: AVANT Global Sales Team

Reporting To: EVP of Global Sales

Location: 2 N Riverside Plaza, Suite 2450, Chicago, IL 60606 or Remote 


Purpose of the Position:  

The Manager, Sales Operations position is responsible for providing operational support for AVANT's EVP of Global Sales and the Global Sales Team in general. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: managing the standard reporting process and all special data requests, helping to manage administrative changes in Salesforce as needed to support sales strategy, supporting implementation of technology and processes in support of the Global Sales Team, supporting meeting preparation for the EVP, Global Sales, and managing an array of other small and large projects and initiatives for the EVP, Global Sales, and the Global Sales Team in general.


Essential Functions:

Manages standard reporting processes and all special data requests; works closely with the EVP of Global Sales and the VPs on monthly reporting.

Implements new technologies and processes as needed to support the sales teams.

Provides Salesforce administrative support.

Prepares meeting materials for the EVP, Global Sales.

Assists in training staff on new technology and software.

Assists with account management, quarterly and monthly business review reports.

Works cross-functionally with the Pathfinder development team to enhance the Back Office, working with marketing, vendor management, and channel sales ops.

Works with channel operations/IT to implement channel strategy, data/reporting, system workflows, and overall operational governance for the program.

Works cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and vendor management to implement and grow partner programs and ensure alignment across the business.

Performs other duties as required.

Qualification Highlights:

Outstanding analytical and data skills, especially strong in data presentation using Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong experience with Salesforce, PowerBI, and Access.

Self-starter with the ability to navigate a new position and to develop/manage evergreen systems and processes.

Stellar written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate processes and structure.

Excellent operational skills with the ability to manage a wide variety of large and small projects, manage to project timelines, communicate progress, and problem-solve along the way.

Ability to handle, and simultaneously balance, a wide variety of multiple tasks under short time constraints.

Customer service orientation, including empathetic listening acumen, effective phone/Zoom skills, and a positive attitude.

Creative problem-solving skills in assessing customer issues, identifying possible solutions, and then implementing long-term strategy solutions.

Thrives in an environment that values high efficiency, personal dependability, and organizational commitment.

Requirements

Requirements & Experience: 

Bachelor's degree.

Experience in sales operations and working with high-functioning sales organizations.

Highly proficient in Salesforce, Excel, PowerBI, and Access.

Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Great project and program management skills, with the ability to leverage, manage, and lead virtual teams.

Channel experience preferred.

Successfully designed, built, and managed partner portals.

Exhibits strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to travel - 20%.
