Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and maintaining customer relationships within an assigned territory supporting one branch location. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, promoting company products and services, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The Sales Manager serves as the primary company representative in the field, working closely with customers, contractors, builders, distributors, and other industry partners to expand market presence and achieve sales and profitability goals.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities while   maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. 
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and  margin goals. 
  • Manage an assigned sales territory and maximize market penetration. 
  • Utilize CRM tools and sales reports to drive activity, customer  retention, and growth. 
  • Promote company products, services, pricing strategies, and sales   initiatives. 
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, product demonstrations, and  business development meetings. 
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and   concerns. 
  • Support customer retention through proactive relationship management  and exceptional service. 
  • Collaborate with Quality Control, Operations, Customer Service, and  Warehouse teams to resolve customer issues and ensure order fulfillment. 
  • Coordinate with branch leadership regarding large projects, forecasting, inventory needs, and special orders. 
  • Monitor market trends, customer demand, and competitive activity. 
  • Develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales, revenue, and margin   targets. 
  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management through CRM  reporting. 
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support  business growth and customer relationships. 


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and  experience will be considered. 
  • 3-5 years of outside sales, territory management, account  management, or business development experience required. 
  • Experience in the building products, construction, manufacturing, or  distribution industry strongly preferred. 
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and  profitability goals. 
  • Strong sales, negotiation, prospecting, and relationship-building  skills. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage customer relationships  and sales pipelines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.      
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory. 
  • Valid driver's license required. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry product samples, marketing  materials, and other sales-related items up to 50 lbs.
