Job description

Manages VIP, WvC DP Managed, IBC, Wholesale accounts and all large format in the execution of all sales, merchandising and service aspects of business by performing the following duties. The major duties of your job involve connecting quickly with people in a poised, convincing, and enthusiastic way. You will be required to have a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to get things done correctly in the assigned universe, with emphasis on working with and through people in the process. Understanding people well and using that understanding effectively in motivating and persuading others to act will be an important aspect of the job. Many of your tasks may involve selling or persuading others, and/or training others in some capacity. You will be involved in controlling all aspects of tasks, from the initiation, through the process and through to completion.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Develop working relationships with respective District Management and store personnel.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly work with employees on all aspects of their job duties in assigned universe.  
  • Responsible and assist employees with Winning vs Competition, VIP, IBC, and Wholesales Execution and speed to market.
  • Responsible for working with CCD ASMs/DMs in selling incremental execution.
  • Communicates and relays all pertinent sales information to the sales and operations personnel.
  • Interface with Supplier Reps to help develop, implement and accomplish goals and objectives as they pertain to assigned universe.
  • Responsible for tracking, measuring and summarizing execution in assigned universe.
  • Completes and submits reports and other documentation as requested.
  • Ensures maintenance of CCD OOC, & OOS standards.
  • Attend and participate in as many team building events as possible in assigned territory.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition in the Energy Category
  • Determines appropriate responses to problems and emergencies.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as margin, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software; Inventory software; Internet software; Order processing systems and Microsoft Office to include Outlook.
