Technical Sales Engineer – Nitric Acid | Remote

Alloy Engineering-100% Employee Owned Company

Alloy Engineering is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer / Technical Sales professional to drive business development and revenue growth within the chemical processing, metals and nitric acid industries. This remote opportunity focuses on developing relationships with nitric acid producers, chemical manufacturers, metal companies, and industrial customers across the South Central U.S. territory.

The ideal candidate combines a Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree with technical sales experience to partner with customers to identify solutions involving high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloy products and custom-fabricated equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop new business opportunities across the South Central U.S. territory
  • Build relationships with plant engineers, maintenance managers, project managers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers
  • Identify customer needs and provide technical solutions involving corrosion-resistant alloys and custom-fabricated      equipment
  • Recommend materials, fabrication methods, and engineered solutions based on customer applications
  • Manage the sales process from prospecting and quoting through project award and delivery
  • Develop strategic account plans to grow revenue and expand market share
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Monitor industry trends, plant expansions, maintenance projects, and capital investments to identify new opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and customer information within CRM systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering-REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of experience in:
    • Sales Engineering
    • Technical Sales
    • Industrial Sales
    • Business Development
    • Process Equipment Sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling to:
    • Nitric acid producers
    • Chemical manufacturers
    • Fertilizer plants
    • Metals and mining companies
    • Industrial processing facilities
  • Understanding of corrosion-resistant alloys, high-temperature materials, and industrial applications
