Position Summary

The Regional Vice President (RVP), West is a sales-first commercial and operations leader responsible for leading and scaling the regional business within the broader enterprise. This role places a premium on strategic sales leadership and new business development, while maintaining the operational competence required to deliver exceptional service and profitability across the West Region. The RVP will lead cross-functional teams, oversee regional P&L, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives through data-driven decision-making and agile leadership. The RVP also ensures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures, and any applicable regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Commercial Growth
  • Drive aggressive new business development and revenue growth across the West Region, with a relentless focus on building pipeline and closing new accounts.
  • Lead customer acquisition and expansion initiatives to maximize revenue and lifetime value.
  • Interface directly with major customers and prospects at senior levels to advance sales opportunities and deepen commercial relationships.
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform and sharpen the regional go-to-market strategy.
  • Provide the sales team with effective tools, resources, and direction to maximize individual and team performance against business goals.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business plans to ensure sustained revenue growth.
  • Implement approved distribution and multi-channel selling strategies across the region.
Operational Excellence & Scalability
  • Oversee regional operations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Implement best practices in transportation and logistics management to support sales execution and customer retention.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost structures and operational performance.
  • Lead the onboarding of new company-owned and strategic operating partner locations.
  • Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives, and meet organizational expenditure requirements.
Financial & Performance Management
  • Oversee regional P&L, budgeting, and cost management to achieve financial targets.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess business health and guide real-time adjustments.
  • Analyze sales, revenue, and profit reports to identify opportunities for growth and course-correct underperformance.
  • Monitor financial metrics to identify trends and anticipate outcomes.
  • Regularly assess regional performance against commitments and implement targeted initiatives to address shortfalls.
  • Forecast customer activity and project revenue to Senior Management.
Leadership & Culture
  • Inspire and lead high-performing teams through direct and indirect influence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, commercial ambition, and customer-centricity.

  • Set clear goals with team members and measure success through regular performance reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Sales, Finance, and HR to align regional execution with enterprise goals.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new locations and strategic partners.
  • Champion communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to foster a mutual understanding of departmental needs and expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Industry Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of practical sales/business development experience in transportation/logistics, of which a minimum of 5 years is in a management or leadership role.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational excellence in a regional or national capacity.
  • Strong understanding of North American transportation and supply chain.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate Excel skills required (formulas, graphs, data analysis).
  • Expertise in CRM systems, business tools, and data analytics.

Work Schedule & Environment

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $145,000 – $175,000 Annual Salary Range

Starting pay is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Other compensation includes, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or stock options.
