Route Supervisor – Full time, Hourly

Pay Range

$82,267 - $91,843 or more per year of total compensation.

Position Overview

As a Route Supervisor, you are the face of Auto-Chlor System to our customers across the South San Francisco area. You’ll manage service routes, support and train team members, and ensure every customer receives high-quality, reliable service. This role combines leadership, customer service, mechanical troubleshooting, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Account Management

  • Build strong relationships with restaurant and hospitality clients throughout South San Francisco and surrounding areas
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Negotiate service agreement renewals and pricing adjustments
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services to grow accounts
  • Collect payments and follow up to keep accounts current

Route & Team Management

  • Manage and optimize staff routes for efficiency and service quality
  • Train and mentor new team members
  • Ensure adherence to company service standards and schedules

Technical & Service Duties

  • Follow a 28-day service schedule and complete a 29-step preventative maintenance process on dish machines
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform mechanical repairs
  • Deliver and pick up cleaning chemicals
  • Train customers on proper chemical usage to control costs and improve performance

Operations & Reporting

  • Report performance metrics to branch management
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service needs
  • Safely operate a company vehicle in various conditions, including evenings and inclement weather

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory or management experience (service, route-based, or similar industry preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 70 lbs of cleaning chemicals daily
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in a physically active role
  • Ability to climb stairs at customer and branch locations
  • Frequent driving throughout the South San Francisco area

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay at $28 per hour + commission on companion products sold (up to $90,000 per year or more of total compensation)
