Job description

PEI Ohio, is seeking a Route Delivery Supervisor to join our clients delivery team in the Stoneham, MA area. This position will be overseeing drivers operating out of 2 commercial locations for one of our major national customers. The right candidate will need to be PASSIONATE about delivering an exceptional delivery experience to customers, have a great work ethic, reliable, work fast, and always be on time. This position is also responsible to fill and do routes whenever there is a shortage of drivers or an increase in volume.
About the Position:
  • Oversee a dynamic 5 Day Operation, may go to 6 during peak periods
  • Base Salary Compensation of $50,000, depending on qualifications
  • Manage a minimum of 8-10 Employee Route Drivers Utilizing Company Box Trucks
  • Monitor Service Issues and Performance Matrix

Applicant Requirements:
  • Proof of Identity And Authorization to Work in the United States
  • 5-7 Years of Experience in Dispatching, Supervising Drivers or General Supervision
  • Must Be at Least 25 Years Old
  • Successfully Pass:
    • MVR for the Past 5 Years
    • 9 Panel Drug Screen
  • Ability to Use MS Word, Excel and Outlook a Must
  • Excellent Computer, Verbal, Written and Communication Skills
  • Ability to Multitask, Prioritize, and Meet Deadlines in a Fluid Environment
  • Friendly, Courteous and Positive Attitude Ability to Work Independently and Effectively in a Team Environment
  • Bachelor of Science Degree Preferred, but not Required

Job Duties:
  • Management of Overall Operation in the Greater Boston area
  • Serve as Primary Communication Liaison Between Company and Customer
  • Provide Solutions to Delivery Problems and or Resolve Issues as Needed
  • Inspect Company Vehicles on a Routine Bases and Provide Feedback on Condition/Maintenance
  • Provide Timely Information to Drivers on Route as Needed
  • Counsel & Coach Dispatchers/Drivers
  • Assist Drivers with:
    • Day-to-Day Operations
    • Check-Out and Check-In of Mobile Devices Used by Route Drivers
    • Ensure Compliance within Operating Contract
    • State and Local Ordinances,
    • Payroll and Company Policies and Procedures
