Rework Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rework Operator is responsible for carrying out general rework operations according to planned operational requirements in order to safely deliver a good quality product to customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform initial inspection and cleaning
  • Monitor quality against set standards and reports any product defects.
  • Prepare, complete, measure, and install work - clamping equipment and tools.
  • Ensure all rework products are properly tagged and received from the line.
  • Daily communication with production surrounding rework.
  • Utilize appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment relevant to the task.
  • Training of new personnel.
  • Document problems and arrange corrective action.
  • Monitor work processes, conduct service work, housekeeping/cleaning duties, etc.
  • Develop and implement ways to do complex and difficult rework on work pieces.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years' experience in a production environment
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • High School Diploma
  • Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to a minimum of 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Repetitive motions including bending, stooping, gripping, twisting, pushing, pulling.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (10 hours max)
