Your Job

As an Advanced Development, Technical Project Manager (ADTPM) in Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit you will be leading a highly motivated, world-wide, cross functional team through the Advanced Development Process from Project Initiation to the start of Product Development (PDP). You are comfortable leading WW cross functional teams, working directly with customers, mentoring team members, solving problems, and making/being accountable for project-level decisions. You have strong project management experience in "technical" business environments.

You thrive on moving the needle to achieve business objectives that will take Molex and our customers to the next level.

Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU) is a global team that works together to deliver exceptional products to worldwide telecommunication and data center customers. CSBU is one of the most highly technically advanced business units within Molex. Its objective is to enable the technology that customers will need in the next 2-5 years.

What You Will Do

  • Simultaneously lead multiple Advanced Development and Technology Development projects.
  • Understand the balance of innovation vs forward progress.
  • Establish and lead continuous improvement efforts related to Advanced Development and Technology Development processes, key mental models, and toolsets.
  • Manage transition and from Advanced Development to PDP.
  • Manage project vision creation and project change management.
  • Own Project Reporting communication to both Management and Customers.
  • Lead and mentor team members in project management principles, key processes, risk management, issue resolution, decision making, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, manufacturing, supply management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Development Specific Project Management in a Technical Environment
  • 2 years of experience in a Customer-Facing or External Executive Facing position
  • Fluent Japanese (spoken and technical reading/writing) to interface with development teams in Japan.
  • Experience as a leader with sense of ownership and accountability
  • Experience leading multi-national teams in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to work mornings and evenings to participate in North America to Asia Pacific meetings
  • Willingness to obtain PMP certification within 1 year
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Experienced in leading Agile Projects
  • PMP Certified
  • SAP Experience

For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $175,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
