Overview:

Manage, lead and motivate a team of employees through daily activities ensuring customer returns are processed accurately and refurbished to the Boden brand expectations. Assist the warehouse managers in creating and maintaining the Boden culture that supports and encourages training and cross-functional teams.

Location: 180 Armstrong Road, Pittston PA 18640

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer returns are processed in line with established departmental metrics and reflect the Boden brand expectations
  • Collaborate with Contact Center to ensure customer journey expectations are met by raising issues and discussing areas of improvement
  • Identify and raise any carrier issues
  • Ensure departmental tasks are carried out by assigning and overseeing team performance
  • Provide daily direction and communication to employees to ensure key department metrics are met
  • Effectively manage staffing levels based on available work, working in conjunction with other Team Leaders to best utilize talent across the warehouse
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the departmental Senior or Senior-in-Training, if applicable
  • Hold employees accountable to policies by identifying and addressing violations by delivering disciplines following guidance from HR
  • Handle termination discussions and leaver forms following guidance from HR
  • Maintain time and attendance tracking and reporting accurately for department employees
  • Ensure accurate records of hours, KPI, and productivity data are calculated and reported in a timely manner
  • Actively coach team members and provide feedback to meet and exceed productivity expectations
  • Follow and deliver on the Boden leadership behaviors of a people manager
  • Create and maintain a high-quality work environment to encourage team members to perform at their highest level
  • Establish work procedures and processes that support the company, departmental standards and strategic directives
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with fellow Team Leaders and Managers regarding cross-functional needs and issues including staffing, shared work functions and employee issues
  • Meet with direct reports regularly, off the floor, to discuss employee performance, departmental metrics and goals, and to keep an open line of communication
  • Conduct and deliver effective and meaningful performance evaluations
  • Actively engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Interview and select prospective employees for open warehouse positions
  • Ensure adequate training for all new hires is provided
  • Maintain consistent and reliable presence for team and operations during scheduled shifts
  • Use appropriate judgement in upward communication regarding departmental or employee concerns
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all Boden teams
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings
  • Participate as an active and positive team member in all areas, improving efficiencies
  • Ensure and support compliance of occupational health and safety guidelines, processes and procedures
  • Other related duties as needed and/or assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year in a Senior Warehouse Associate role or equivalent
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable and open to change
  • Ability to work in changing and fast paced environment
  • Flexible working hours
