Job Description

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for a full-time Retail Associates within Saint Mary's Retail Cafe in our Campus Dining department. The UOES Division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide the Saint Mary's community and guests with the very best in foods and services
  • Make all guests feel welcome by providing a warm, friendly atmosphere and being responsive to the changing needs and desires of our customers
  • Prepare a variety of food items in a single-unit food and beverage operation, including preparation of various coffee beverages
  • Responsible for performing all task relating to retail including safety and sanitation of food service facilities, including food preparation areas and guest areas
  • Operate the cash register recording guest orders and tendering sales
  • Assist and participate in the preparation, stocking and rotating of food inventories
