Clean Team Supervisor โ Sports & Entertainment Arena
Position Summary
The Clean Team Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the daily operations of the Clean Team to ensure the arena maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation before, during, and after all events. This position provides frontline leadership, coaches team members, monitors performance, and ensures all assigned areas are guest-ready while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, motivate, and lead Clean Team Members during assigned shifts.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign work areas, and communicate event expectations.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance.
- Coach team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
- Document employee performance concerns and recognize outstanding performance.
Event Operations
- Ensure all public areas are cleaned and prepared before guest arrival.
- Oversee continuous cleaning operations during events.
- Coordinate rapid response to spills, guest incidents, biohazards, and emergency cleaning situations.
- Monitor restroom conditions, seating areas, concourses, premium spaces, elevators, stairwells, and entrances throughout events.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Communicate operational updates with management and other departments.
Post-Event Operations
- Direct post-event cleaning and facility reset activities.
- Verify completion of cleaning assignments using inspection checklists.
- Ensure all waste and recycling are properly removed.
- Secure cleaning equipment and supplies after each shift.
- Prepare the venue for upcoming events according to operational timelines.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report facility maintenance issues, equipment damage, or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with emergency response procedures when required.
- Maintain compliance with all arena operating procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two or more years of custodial, housekeeping, or facility operations experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience working in sports venues, entertainment facilities, convention centers, hotels, or large public venues is preferred.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on event schedules.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull carts, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.
