Job description

Summary: The Event Staff team member supports the successful execution of events by assisting with setup, tear-down, guest services, and facility maintenance. This role ensures that events run smoothly by maintaining a welcoming environment, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to company and venue standards. Event Staff members work closely with Event Leads, managers, and other team members to create memorable experiences for guests.

*Event Staff are required to work at least 1 shift per quarter to remain on the active roster*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event setup and tear-down at multiple venues, including tables, chairs, décor, and bar supplies.
  • Greet guests, provide directions, answer basic questions, and ensure guest needs are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout events.
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Operate event equipment as needed, including AV systems, CD/DVD players, and video equipment (training provided).
  • Support bar setup and close-out procedures when requested.
  • Follow company and venue policies, procedures, and dress code standards.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled training sessions (Graystone, LMS 365, etc.).
  • Assist Event Leads and managers with additional event duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in fast-paced environments.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.
