Job description

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides advanced care to a 21-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. We are a career destination with nearly 6,000 colleagues who reflect the diversity of our community.

TMH is the region’s healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region’s only:

  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • Level III Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Pediatric Intensive Care
  • The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle

Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, four residency programs and nearly 40 affiliated physician practices.


Your Role:

  • Gains sufficient experience, knowledge and skills during a three-year training program to become a competent family physician and to pass the Board examination for the American Board of Family Practice.
  • Provides patient care and other services while learning necessary skills to graduate
  • Completes rotations required by ACGME and developed by Faculty
  • Reads, researches, and presents new knowledge or findings
  • Becomes a licensed physician in the state of Florida, unless prohibited by Florida Statute or other reasons approved by the Residency Director
  • Documents encounters, experiences, procedures, and skills, as they are gained, to support credentialing/certification/ reimbursement.

Required Education:

  • Post Graduate Degree (M.D., D.O. or equivalent)

Required Experience:

  • No Previous Experience Required

Required Certification/License/Registry:  

  • ECFMG Certification
  • State of Florida Physician Training License or State of Florida Physician License
