Nature & Purpose of Position
The Department of Kinesiology at Sam Houston State University (Main campus) is inviting applications for undergraduate or graduate research/teaching assistant positions. These positions are open to students with an interest in biomechanics, sport, and exercise science. Applicants will assist in various research tasks, including data collection and analysis, lab equipment maintenance, literature reviews, instruction and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with research data collections and data analysis.
- Maintaining and updating laboratory hardware and software.
- Assisting with literature reviews and other research-related tasks.
- Teaching activity courses with specific skill sets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of KINE 3373 and/or KINE 4362 Biomechanical Analysis classes.
- Experience with motion capture systems, force plates, Wingate, EKG, SECA, DEXA, and/or EMG for data collection and analysis.
- Experience teaching or performing with specific skills.
