Job description

Position Summary: The R&D Food Technologist is responsible for applying food science knowledge and principles to new and existing products in the dietary supplement industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ยท Manage R&D lab by practicing cGMPs

ยท Maintain lot numbers of raw materials in the laboratory and update accordingly

ยท Document and formulate dietary supplements that meet customersโ€™ needs

ยท Formulate following FDAโ€™s guidelines and CFR

ยท Revise formulas based on customersโ€™ feedback

ยท Create and send dietary supplement samples to customers

ยท Collect and review raw materialsโ€™ technical documents to ensure it follows customerโ€™s product requirements

ยท Organoleptic evaluation of raw materials for quality and production feasibility

ยท Organoleptic evaluation of production batches

ยท Work with Purchasing for sourcing raw materials

ยท Work with Operations and Quality to troubleshoot product formulas

ยท Communicate with suppliers to request documents and samples

ยท Creating Nutrition and Supplement Fact Panels

ยท Miscellaneous duties as directed by R&D manager

Work Experience/Qualifications:

ยท Minimum BS Food Science or related field

ยท Excellent communication skills

ยท Ability to work independently and in a team environment

ยท Good attendance and punctuality

ยท Ability to work well under pressure

ยท Ability to read, write, and speak English

ยท Flexibility to changing priorities, work schedule, and the needs of the business
