Job Description:

We are looking for a Repair Manager to schedule work and production requirements for all plant operations at our Miles City, Montana Repair Facility.Provide leadership and support to Area Managers and Repair Supervisors.In addition, you willmonitorall daily management processes and lead dailytool boxmeetings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and lead production Managers and Supervisors in all repair activities.

  • Ensure safe working habits and safe working conditions by performing training for and periodic reviews ofall employeesand their work areas.

  • Support the Quality Assurance Department efforts by ensuring compliance with all OSHA, AAR, FRA,companyand customer requirementsregardingall quality, environmental, health and safety regulationsat all times, including but not limited tomaintainingtraining and compliance.

  • Make recommendations to the Plant Manager concerning the department with the intention of resulting in continual process improvements whilemaintainingestablished quality and safety standards.

  • Participate in employee interviews, new hire orientationtrainingand employee performance evaluations.

  • Participate in all internal,externaland customer auditsregardingthe departments.

  • Participate in daily Production Meetings providing the status of rail cars in process.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Preferably 5+ years of supervisory experience within rail car inspections,test, andrepair.

  • Knowledge of the Federal Railroad Administration's regulations governing the inspection and test of rail cars, and the Association of American Railroads Interchange Rules.

  • Ability to read prints and drawings, includingweldand nondestructive testing symbols.
