Workday Analyst, People SystemsThis position is a highly skilled, process-oriented Workday People System Analyst reporting directly to the Senior Associate Director, Workday People Systems & Service Delivery. This individual contributor role focuses on the technical execution and daily support of our HR systems. The ideal candidate is a systems-level thinker who executes processes with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. As an integral part of the team, you will support the day-to-day operations of Workday modules, including HCM, Talent, People Experience, Total Rewards, and cross-functional Payroll-related activities.
This job is primarily performed remotely and is part of a remote team.

Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Administration & Configuration: Administer the College's Workday HCM platform by executing system configuration and Business Process (BP) administration. Ensure smooth daily operations and continuous data integrity across the entire Workday HCM and cross-functional aspects of Payroll.

  • Troubleshooting & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for identifying and troubleshooting Human Resource staff members' questions or issues related to transactional workflows. Escalate complex troubleshooting issues to the Senior Associate Director for coordination with a cross-functional group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

  • Upgrades & Innovation: Conduct system updates and support the review and testing of HCM and Total Rewards upgrades and feature releases. Assist in exploring and testing emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning features.

  • Data & Integrations: Support the testing and deployment of system integrations to ensure data flows correctly between platforms. Execute tasks through EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) uploads, while upholding established data governance standards for privacy compliance and accuracy.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide data analysis and reporting on HR-related metrics to inform decision-making. Support user questions and fulfill requests for functional reports.

  • Process Improvement: Partner with HR, IT, and other departments to identify continued opportunities to streamline business processes. Assist with testing, implementation, rollout, and knowledge transfer for system enhancements and new initiatives.

  • Compliance & Security: Consistently maintain and safeguard confidential information, exercising discretion to ensure HRIS compliance with institutional policies, federal regulations, and data privacy standards.

  • Training: Maintain Workday Pro certification in areas of HCM, Time and Absence, Performance Management, and Reporting.

  • Community: Represent the College in peer groups, user conferences, and other events to maintain a network of informal resources.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) for supplemental reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience: Proven 3+ years (post go-live) experience in Workday HCM systems analysis, daily operations, and technical support.

  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of business and technical requirements analysis as it relates to human resource systems integration, HRIS data configuration, workflow management, and business processes.

  • System Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Workday ERP. Working knowledge of payroll systems such as Workday, OSV, and Accu-time is highly preferred.

  • Software Skills: Proficient in office productivity software (Office, G.Suite, etc.).

  • Attributes: Strong systems-level thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact positively and appropriately with a wide variety of users

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Workday Pro certification(s) preferred, or willingness to attain certification.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • This position is a full-time remote position, with the possibility of occasional requirements to come onsite for planning or strategic meetings.

  • Requires the ability to perform customary office tasks such as sitting, walking, standing, computing, and participation in video meetings for moderate to prolonged periods of time.

|SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $85,000 annually

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimateof the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
