Many remote travel jobs are commission-based or salary-plus-commission roles, often requiring experience in the travel industry or customer service.

This is an opportunity to shape PMC's future growth - partnering closely with account management, engineering, supply chain, and operations to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions for the world's largest medical device OEMs, on products that impact millions of lives.

Why PMC SMART Solutions?

Privately owned since 1929, PMC has spent over 90 years as a leader in plastic injection molding and contract manufacturing - a legacy of stability and partnership with our customers that continues to set us apart today.

As a globally recognized, award-winning contract manufacturer, PMC delivers precision-engineered medical devices and automotive components for industry leaders including Medtronic, Stryker, Baxter, Cook Medical, alongside leading automotive tier 1 OEMs including Bosch and SumiRiko.

Our expertise spans design for manufacturability, injection molding, assembly, packaging, and sterilization management, all backed by ISO 13485 certification, FDA registration, and Class 8 clean rooms.

What You'll Do

As Business Development Manager, you'll own new business growth within assigned medical accounts - leading the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution, and partnering across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to bring winning proposals to life.

Revenue Growth & Pipeline Ownership

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts to maximize potential and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Own and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified opportunities to drive consistent revenue growth.
  • Identify, understand, and communicate customer needs to drive strategic alignment and business growth.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to develop and execute strategies for new verticals, regions, or customer divisions.

Relationship Building & Networking

  • Visit assigned customers regularly to build deep relationships and strengthen PMC's competitive position within the account.
  • Lead customer engagement opportunities, including proposal presentations, Lunch & Learns, and facility tours.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for the customer experience, coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to resolve commercial issues.
  • Represent PMC at trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.

Sales Process Execution & Deal Management

  • Lead client engagement from initial prospecting through RFQ response, proposal development, and contract execution.
  • Coordinate the RFQ and quoting process with the estimating team, ensuring timely, accurate proposals.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, keeping pipeline activity, call reports, and account development reporting current.

Market Expansion & Strategy

  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify and engage high-potential prospects aligned with PMC's strategic objectives.
  • Conduct market research to assess new business opportunities, analyze customer fit, and shape lead generation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on strategic opportunities and market threats.

What We Offer

Beyond meaningful work with industry-leading customers, PMC offers competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and real investment in your professional development - including mentorship, cross-functional exposure, and a clear path for career growth within the company.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in direct sales or account management for a manufacturer is required.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering/Technical, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience with consultative, conceptual selling - able to deeply understand a customer's business, challenges, and goals to recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrated success with customer presentations and negotiations.
  • Experience selling in a contract manufacturing business (products, components, assemblies, resin, or tooling) required; experience in the medical device market and plastic injection molding is a strong plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative, with a strong bias for action.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
