HiSEAS International Tourism Group
HiSEAS is a premier, large-scale global Destination Management Company (DMC) specializing in delivering customized travel solutions across Group Leisure, MICE, and educational travel, with Europe as a significant focus. Backed by the robust support and infrastructure of a massive global organization, we are dynamically expanding our presence in the US outbound market. We are seeking a highly autonomous, creative Business Development Manager to lead sales and strategic partnerships for our European travel products and global destinations.
This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who thrives on minimal oversight, possesses an exceptional ability to quickly qualify leads, and excels at navigating the fluid dynamics of a growing territory. Because you are helping scale a global model within a new market, you must be a flexible problem-solver who can creatively bridge the gap between domestic client expectations and international operational workflows.
Note: This position can be fully remote but ideally located in CA, NY/NJ, Florida, Chicago, or Dallas
What You Will Do:
- Drive New B2B Sales & Pipeline: Independently identify, pitch, and secure partnerships with US & Canadian-based tour operators and travel agencies focused on European and global group travel. You will own your prospecting strategy, moving beyond inherited lists to actively build a broad pipeline.
- Rapid Lead Qualification: Efficiently vet and qualify inbound inquiries and self-sourced opportunities to ensure high alignment with operational capabilities and maximum profitability.
- Creative Problem Solving: Act as the strategic link between North American clients and our global operations teams. You will use creativity and flexibility to adapt our extensive global services to seamlessly fit the unique preferences of the North American market.
- Manage the Full Sales Cycle: Lead everything from initial prospecting and sharp presentations to contract negotiation, onboarding new partners, and fostering ongoing relationships for long-term retention.
- High-Velocity Communication: Maintain clear, proactive, and adaptive communication across diverse international teams and time zones, translating complex logistics into compelling value propositions for domestic clients.
- Collaborate Globally: Work closely with our global operations teams to facilitate smooth transitions, ensuring successful delivery of services while providing critical market feedback to support product development.
- Industry Representation: Participate in trade shows, sales missions, and networking events to actively generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
- Experience Coordination: Coordinate and host familiarization (FAM) trips and educational tours to provide partners with firsthand experience of our offerings.
- Data & Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, profitability metrics, and pipeline activity utilizing our CRM system and other corporate tools.
What You Bring:
- Demonstrated Autonomy: A proven track record of managing a remote sales territory with a minimum of oversight, showcasing strong self-motivation and rigorous organizational skills.
- DMC & Wholesale Literacy: A minimum of three years of sales or business development experience within the travel industry, with a deep understanding of B2B ground logistics, wholesale net pricing, and group travel dynamics (experience with a European DMC preferred).
- Broad Market Perspective: Versatility across multiple group segments—such as educational, custom leisure, or faith-based travel—rather than a single, narrow niche.
- Agility & Flexibility: The capacity to think on your feet, navigate the processes of a large global entity, and creatively solve operational friction when adapting global models to a new market.
- Proven Sales Execution: A successful history of self-sourcing, qualifying, and closing new B2B business within the US travel trade (tour operators, travel advisors, consortia).
- Sharp Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to build immediate trust both virtually and in person.
- Tech Proficiency: Competency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms for efficient pipeline management and accurate reporting.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 25% for meetings, trade shows, and FAM trips
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with travel companies featuring diverse international operations or global corporate structures.
- A bachelors or higher degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field.
What we Offer:
- Competitive base salary range of $70,000-$85,000
- Performance-based bonus and commission opportunities
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage
- Vacation and paid company holidays
- Opportunity for remote work flexibility
- Domestic and International travel opportunities
This role offers a comprehensive sales leadership opportunity within a highly supportive, expansive global company.
