OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Director, Strategy & Planning (International) to drive international go-to-market strategy for our Instacart Platform. In this role, you will have responsibilities including, but not limited to, overseeing the International pillar of the Strategy & Planning team, setting Instacart's retailer go-to-market strategy for these initiatives across the full span of our Instacart Platform solutions, supporting the ongoing success of these initiatives, and communicating results to Instacart's executive team.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Define Instacart's international retailer strategy for launching and growing our suite of Instacart Platform solutions by driving vision, commercialization strategy, and go-to-market planning of complete range of retail enterprise opportunities available to retailers outside North America

  • Deliver clear and compelling content to senior leadership, both internally and at retail partners

ABOUT YOU

  • 10+ years previous experience in the grocery, retail, enterprise SaaS GTM, or strategy consulting serving the grocery industry with demonstrated cross-functional and collaborative project experience, and a track record of significant business impact.
  • Experience building and running an operating cadence and governance framework for a complex, cross-functional and multi-region business.
  • Experience operating in an international environment, including comfort with varying regulatory and competitive contexts, new-market entry strategy and planning, and distributed teams.
  • Comfort with both risk and ambiguity, and skilled at creating organized and structured details even in ambiguous contexts. Ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Executive-level written and visual communication skills serving cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders. Ability to sell a big-picture story to a variety of audiences, and credibility to get into fine-grained details where needed.
  • Long-term strategic thinking balanced with near-term execution skills and the ability to take complex data and distill them into a meaningful and coherent story.
  • Strong retailer empathy and an ability to understand what matters most to our grocery and non-grocery partners' business.
  • Inspirational team leader with experience building a culture of engagement, enthusiasm, and high performance.
