Weber Shandwick is looking for an SVP, Strategy to join our team in New York and fuel communications and creative strategies for some of the world's biggest, best-known brands across consumer, corporate, and health accounts.
About you: You're an expert strategic leader, trusted client advisor, and nurturer of talent. You're a highly collaborative, original, and clear thinker who is endlessly curious. You can frame a problem, develop succinct insights, and explain what it all means in a compelling story. You understand diverse media platforms and technology. You know how to build strategies that earn attention and you can pivot quickly with the unpredictability of today's business and communications challenges.
What you'll do
- Lead businesses with powerful strategic positioning that stretches across both consumer and corporate stakeholders.
- Develop vision for strategies from start to finish, including execution and performance evaluation.
- Lead powerful earned strategies with internal and client-facing stakeholders, ideas that are earned at the core but built to strengthen brand strategy.
- Initiate and help execute the strategic process, from research plan to creative brief, for senior-lead approval; co-lead client projects and assignments.
- Proactively identify potential challenges in the research plan and creative brief, recommending improvements before completion.
- Develop an immersive understanding of a brand's market dynamics, customer mindset, competitive actions, and industry trends.
- Derive and articulate insights that drive behavior change.
- Guide client and internal integration teams across client experience, analytics, creative, and media to solve problems efficiently and collaborate effectively.
- Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, internal partners, and clients, including mentoring and developing talent.
What you bring
- 10""15 years of experience in corporate and consumer strategy with best-in-class idea integration (communications and/or advertising preferred).
- Understanding of cultural brand strategy, with familiarity across PR, influencer, digital, and social media.
- Expertise in the marketing and communications industry.
- Clear, compelling presentation skills with the ability to construct, support, and confidently present arguments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Agility and proven ability to collaborate across teams.
