Job Description:

We are now accepting resumes for SIC positions throughout the US.

(Current need higher on the East Coast)

The Phenom 300 Second-In-Command (SIC), as second-in-command, assists the Captain in the safe operation of the aircraft. They have knowledge of and comply with the FAA regulations, Company Flight Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, LOAs, Flight Manuals, etc. They report to the Captain during Flight operations and Chief/Asst Chief Pilot for all other matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conducts aircraft operations and related job assignments in accordance with policies established in the General Operations Manual and Company Manuals.
  • Ensures all flight, aircraft and passenger records are completed in a neat, timely, and accurate fashion.
  • Assists the Captain in the performance of their duties.
  • Ensures compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest periods in accordance with established policies.
  • Must have completed initial or recurrent training phases in the preceding 12 months.
  • Reviews Flight/Maintenance Log, Form MF-9/MR-10 (MR-9 or MR-10, as applicable) to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft and coordinates with appropriate maintenance personnel for the accomplishment of any required maintenance.
  • Ensures the preflight, post-flight, and routine servicing of the aircraft is accomplished in accordance with established policies.
  • Stocks and cleans the aircraft.
  • Coordinates client request for itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center.
  • Performs the duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators in accordance with 40 CFR 1544.215(b-c).
  • Identifies, anticipates, and takes corrective action to minimize actual/potential delays due to scheduling operations, crew legality, and maintenance issues.
  • Recommend process and communication improvements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all cases involving client aircraft operations and when dealing with sensitive or security issues.
  • Performs other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary.

BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1,500 hours total flight time
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. up a flight of aircraft stairs
  • Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91.
  • Basic computer proficiency - Microsoft Office, iOS, and other internet - based programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercial AMEL CERT with Instrument Rating.
  • Current First Class Medical and a clean record.
  • Valid & Unrestricted Passport.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background check.
  • Must have ATP certificate.
  • Already holding a type rating (in any type of aircraft).
  • Previous captain experience (in any type of aircraft)
